Jeremy Renner will be playing Clint Barton/ Hawkeye in what could be the biggest comic book movie ever made.
He has also said that he thinks there will be a small role for him in the Thor movie, but nobody has confirmed that as of yet.
Either way, we now have another superhero to add to the a list that includes Robert Downey Jr., Edward Norton, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.
Renner got a lot of acclaim for his role in The Hurt Locker and could bring some serious acting chops to a role that could have very easily been over looked.
Stay tuned for more news on The Avengers. There is sure to be a lot of it leading up to the start of production and the May 2012 release of the movie.
